76ers Head Coach Brett Brown named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month

Philadelphia 76ers Head Coach Brett Brown was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for games played in March and April, the NBA announced Thursday. Brown becomes the first 76ers head coach to be named Coach of the Month since Doug Collins in February 2011.

Brown guided Philadelphia to 52 wins for the first time since 2000-01 and clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2011-12. He also led the team as it secured home-court advantage in the first round for the first time since 2002-03. Philadelphia has improved its record by 42 games since the 2015-16 season. The 76ers tied Boston for the largest turnaround in a three-year span in NBA history as the Celtics improved by 42 games from 2006-07 to 2007-08.
