Bus critically hit pedestrian in Center City before fleeing: police

Philadelphia police are investigating a critical hit-and-run crash involving a bus and a pedestrian in Center City on Sunday night.

What we know:

A 23-year-old man was sleeping on the curb when he was struck by a bus at 13th and Sansom streets around 9:43 p.m.

Police say the bus drove off, leaving the man at the scene.

He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

What we don't know:

The bus company, as well as a description of the driver, is unknown at this time as police continue to investigate.
