Capogiro, beloved Philadelphia gelateria, to close all stores on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - On Sunday, Capogiro shuts its doors for good after 16 years of business.

The beloved gelateria made the announcement on Friday.

The shop reportedly fully never recovered from the devastating February fire that destroyed its Old City location.

"Oh Philly. We are going to miss you," the shop tweeted. "Thank you all."

A GoFundMe to save Capogiro has since made the rounds on the internet.

"I for one one can not stand by without at least trying to save this beloved gelateria," said Bo Wang, the man behind the campaign.

All four locations will close at midnight Sunday.
