Chattanooga police officer stops woman from jumping off bridge

Chattanooga, TN (STORYFUL) - A Chattanooga police officer rescued a woman from a bridge before she could jump off it on Saturday, April 16.

The Chattanooga Police Department released dashcam video from the incident on the Market Street Bridge.

Officer Steven Meador is seen trying to speak to the woman who is standing on the railing of the bridge. Officers continue to try to coax the woman from the bridge before she announces she's going to jump.

That's when Meador jumped to pull the woman from the railing of the bridge.

Police said she suffered minor injuries from the rescue.
