Choking Hazard Prompts Kraft-Heinz Recall of Select Kraft Singles Packages

The Kraft Heinz Company has announced a voluntary recall of select dated and coded 'Kraft Singles' Cheese Slices.

According to the company, the individual wrappers are may pose a choking hazard due to improper removal of the plastic film.

The recall applies to 3 and 4 pound sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American. The recalled products have Best When Used By Dates ranging from 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16. The manufacturing codes that follows the dates on recalled products are S54 and S55.

No other sizes, varieties or code dates are included in the recall. No other manufacturing codes other than the two above are involved.

The company says they have received 10 complaints to date about the packaging including 3 reports of consumers choking.

Consumers who have purchased the product should not eat it, but return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund.
