Cops: Great-Great-Grandmother, 81, Arrested for Assault in Yard Sale Brawl

An 81-year-old granny has been charged with assault after a yard sale turned into a bloody brawl that involved three generations of her family, authorities said.

Mae Moses, a great-great-grandmother, turned herself in earlier this week to McMinn County officials in Tennessee.

Moses, her daughter, Marilyn Miller, 58, and granddaughter Angela, 19, all were involved in a fight that erupted at an outdoor sale, authorities said.

Miller allegedly stabbed a woman in the melee that was prompted by a Facebook post, police said.

"I didn't hit nobody. I just pulled her hair," Moses told WRCB-TV.

Miller and her daughter went directly to jail following last week's fracas, Moses told the station. But the elderly woman was allowed to go home pending the issuance of an arrest warrant.

Moses was released on $500 bail and charged with assault.

Both Millers were charged with aggravated assault and were released on $10,000 bail, according to the McMinn County clerk's office.

None have entered pleas and all are scheduled to return to court on Feb. 10, authorities said.
