Couple gets engaged after life-saving liver transplant

(FOX NEWS INSIDER) - A former Marine who gave a woman the liver transplant she needed didn't realize he'd soon be sharing his heart with her, as well.

Heather Krueger and Christopher Dempsey of Illinois shared their incredible love story on Fox and Friends Weekend, right before Valentine's Day.

Back in March 2014, Krueger was diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease. She went into liver failure two months later.

At that point, she was given less than a 50 percent chance to live for only two more months, she said.

That was when Dempsey heard about her predicament from a coworker, who happened to be Krueger's cousin.
