Deadly head-on crash in Delaware under investigation

GREENVILLE, DE (WTXF) - One person was killed and a second is in the hospital after a head-on crash in Delaware.

Delaware State Police say it happened at about 7:45am Wednesday in Greenville.

The two vehicles were on Montchanin Road when they hit head-on between Adams Dam Road and Kennett Pike.

A man driving one of the vehicles was removed from the scene and died at the hospital.

The other driver was also removed and is being treated for his injuries. His condition has not been released.

That stretch of Montchanin Road was closed.

The cause of the tragedy is under investigation.
