Dog dies after being shot by police in Kingsessing

KINGSESSING (WTXF) - Questions are being raised after a police officer shot a dog while responding to a domestic dispute in Kingsessing overnight.

Around 1 a.m. on Monday, officers responded to the 5600 block of Malcolm Street. Police say they were responding to the alleged dispute when the dog charged at them.

One of the officers fired at the dog, who was taken to the vet. The dog's owner tells FOX 29 the dog later died of his injuries.
