Eagles, Jason Kelce agree to 1-year contract extension
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Less than 24 hours after the Philadelphia Eagles announced a contract extension with defensive end Brandon Graham, the team has extended center Jason Kelce's stay in midnight green.
Kelce had two years remaining on the seven year pact that he signed with the Birds in 2014. The one year extension will tack on an extra year to his remaining contract.
Kelce was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft. Since then, Kelce has been an important part of the Eagles offensive front.
In seven seasons, Kelce has been a Pro-Bowler twice and an All-Pro for the past two seasons.
Fans will remember Kelce's impassioned speech on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum after the Eagles Super Bowl parade.
