Eagles Super Bowl: Birds covering adoption fees through Super Bowl Sunday at 3 shelters

What we know:

Three animal shelters across the region, including Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood, N.J., are hoping you’ll pay them a visit very soon.

Throughout the playoffs and until their season is over, the Eagles are paying all pet adoption fees. As they win, these precious pooches win, too.

What they're saying:

Dr. Ken Sieranski, Executive Director of Homeward Bound, says, "It’s just incredibly generous. It also couldn’t have come at a better time. We were so full, especially on dogs, before the sponsorship hit."

By the numbers:

Dr. Sieranski says the first week of the Eagles sponsorship, 122 homeless dogs and cats were adopted. That’s huge, during a time when the need for adoptive families is great.

According to Sieranski, in the last two years, they’ve seen a 26 percent increase in intake. That’s over 400 more dogs in 2024 compared to 2022. These four-legged Birds fans would love to find a "furever" home by game time next Sunday.
