Emmaus High School on external lockdown after 2 bullets found in bathroom, suspect identified
ALLENTOWN, PA (WTXF) - An Allentown high school remains on an exterior threat lockdown after two bullets were found in a bathroom.
According to a press release from Superintendent Michael Schilder Ed.D., Emmaus High School student will be permitted to move about the building and classes will resume immediately.
Police have identified the person responsible for dropping the bullets, and have determined there was not a threat.
The press release states that officials learned the responsible individual intended to disrupt the school day by causing an early dismissal.
No weapons or additional bullets were found, and the school has been declared safe.
The school will remain on external lockdown as a precaution until further notice.
Earlier, the school was put into lockdown after two 22-caliber bullets were found in a boy's bathroom.
Emmaus High School is located at 500 Macungie Avenue.
