Fire in Vacant Home Spreads to Multiple Houses in Kensington

Emergency crews spent nearly two hours battling a fire that extended to multiple homes in Kensington early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out around 4:53 a.m. on the 300 block of East Tusculum Street.

Officials say the fire started in a vacant dwelling and managed to spread to neighboring homes, and one of the buildings underwent a partial collapse.

Crews were able to get the fire placed under control just after 6:30 a.m.

No injuries to residents or firefighters have been reported at this time.
