Flight out of OC makes emergency landing in Reno after passengers hurt in severe turbulence
RENO, Nev. (FOX 11) - A Delta flight made an emergency landing Wednesday at Reno-Tahoe International Airport after the plane reportedly encountered severe turbulence.
Video posted by a passenger shows drink and food items from a cart scattered throughout the aisle of the plane, which was traveling from Santa Ana, California to Seattle, Washington.
Records show Delta Airlines flight 5763 was diverted around 1 p.m. to an emergency landing in Reno, due to reported injuries on board.
Three people were transported to local hospitals, the Reno-Tahoe Airport said.
Passenger Joe Justice tweeted the Delta crew "handled it perfectly, even the emergency landing."
