Howard Eskin announces departure from SportsRadio WIP after more than 30 years
PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia sports radio figurehead Howard Eskin announced Friday that he is moving on from Sportsradio 94.1 WIP after more than 30-years.
Known for his blunt, no-nonsense takes on Philadelphia sports, Eskin helped launch the platform in 1986 and quickly became a household name.
"I leave the station with great affection for the listeners who have made the work I do so fulfilling during my time there," Eskin wrote in a post on X.
Eskin didn't immediately share his next career move, but promised to keep fans update on where he lands next.
Howard's son, Spike Eskin, is currently the the host of WIP Afternoons alongside former Eagles linebacker Ike Reese and co-host Jack Fritz.
