Lines Build As Travelers Head Home For Holidays

Christmas is just two days away, which means everybody is trying to make it home for the holidays.

Millions of travelers are hitting the roads, and the skies!

So far, things are moving smoothly at the Philadelphia Airport despite early morning fog across the area.

The 23 rd is the busiest day for year-end travel , as 45,000 people in our area will be passing through the Philadelphia International airport.

FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce was at the busy airport Wednesday morning, with lines several hundred people deep.

Lines have since shortened but they're expected to pick up again throughout the day.

With the rain expected to reach our area today travelers may want to plan ahead for lines and delays.

100 million people expected to be traveling during this end of the year holiday stretch and that's a record, likely due to Christmas and New Year's both falling on Friday.
