Lockdown lifted at school following nearby shooting in Fairhill

A Philadelphia elementary school went into lockdown for a short time following a late morning shooting across the street from the school building in the city's Fairhill neighborhood.

Officers responded to the scene of a shooting on the 400 block of West Lehigh Avenue, across the street from Deburgos Elementary School.

According to police a man was shot in the park, and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Police placed the school in lockdown, but lifted it 12 minutes later.
