Man allegedly attempts to shoot at police in Kensington

Kensington (WTXF) - Police are looking for the man they say started shooting at officers late Saturday night.

It happened late Saturday night near Westmoreland and Rorer Streets.

Investigators say officers attempted to approach a man on foot, but as they got closer he ran away.

Then, police say he turned and tried to shoot at the officers. According to police, he missed and hit a nearby car.

Police haven't released information on why they tried to stop the man.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
