Man attempts to open door of moving vehicle, shoots at people inside in Olney
OLNEY (WTXF) - Police have released surveillance video of a shooting incident in Olney.
The incident occurred Thursday at 12:47 p.m. at the intersection of Mascher Street and Godfrey Avenue.
According to police, the victims, a 31-year-old male and a 28-year-old female, were at the intersection trying to exit the street by reversing their vehicle.
An unknown black male approached the driver's side door and attempted to open it.
The suspect then pulled a gun from his waist and pointed it at the victims. When the first victim accelerated the vehicle in an attempt to flee, he hit the suspect and knocked him to the ground.
The suspect then stood up and fired multiple times at the victims, striking their vehicle.
He then fled and was last seen north on Mascher Street.
Neither victim was struck by gunfire, and no injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-years-old, with a dark complexion, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and armed with a .40 caliber handgun.
