Man charged with killing pregnant 14-year-old girl
ATLANTA - The man under arrest for shooting and killing a pregnant teenager has waived his his first court appearance which was scheduled to happen on Friday.
Officers believe 20-year-old Souleymane Diallo shot a gun through the floor of an apartment and hit the girl, 14-year-old Sonja Star Harrison, in the head.
Diallo was going to appear in Fulton County Court at 11 Friday morning, but officials told FOX 5 he decided to waive the hearing.
According to police, Harrison was visiting a friend in a downstairs unit at the Pavilion Place complex in the 500 block of Cleveland Avenue. Around 6:30 p.m. Monday, officials say Diallo in an upstairs apartment fired a single shot.

The bullet went through the floor, striking Harrison below. Sadly, she died at the scene.
Now Harrison's family say's they are mourning two lives lost this week, as Harrison was pregnant.
Harrison's mother, Sonja Denise Harrison told FOX 5 she found some comfort in knowing someone is charged with killing her daughter and unborn grandchild.
"She was pregnant, but she had a future. She was going to finish school and she was talking about joining the army, for her and her baby. And they took that away from her. They took my baby's future. And they didn't have no right doing that," she said.
According to police, Diallo was arrested on Nov. 22. He's facing a list of charges including second-degree murder, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
