Man charged with possession of child pornography

MAGNOLIA, N.J. (WTXF) - Police have charged 31-year-old John Dempsey from Magnolia, N.J. with possession of child pornography.

During an investigation, detectives from High-Tech Crimes Unity in Camden County located devices in Dempsey's home based on a tip from Thames Valley Police Department in Great Britain.

His home was located on the 300 Block of Brooke Avenue on Thursday. Video discovered on several digital devices resulted in Dempsey being charged with possession of child pornography and criminal attempt/endangering the welfare of a child.

Dempsey was arrested on Thursday without incident and processed at the Magnolia Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
