Man killed, woman injured after being shot on West Philadelphia porch

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after they say a 29-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were shot while standing on a West Philadelphia porch overnight.

It happened around 3:45 a.m. on the 200 block of Horton Street.

Police say the woman's young daughter was sleeping upstairs when gunfire rang out.

Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The woman is stable after being shot several times in the leg. The man succumbed to his injuries Wednesday after being shot in the chest and torso.

Bullets also went through the living and dining rooms of the home.

The young girl is with neighbors while her mother undergoes surgery.

Police recovered 13 shell casings from the street and sidewalk in front of the home.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
