Man Pistol Whipped During North Philadelphia Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police in North Philadelphia are investigating a home invasion that took place while a man was inside of his home Friday evening.

The incident took place on the 1900 block of Diamond Street around 7:15 p.m.

Police say two men forced their way into the home and forced a 25-year-old man who lives in the apartment to a back room at gunpoint.

The suspects then pistol whipped the resident and stole his gold jewelry and watch, before fleeing the apartment in an unknown direction.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was treated and released.

Police have described the suspects as a 25-year-old black male standing 6'4" with a thin build, light complexion, with a tattoo under one eye, and armed with a silver revolver with a black handle.

The second suspect has been described as a 27-year-old black male, stading 5'10", 175 lbs. with a dark complexion, mustache and goatee, and missing top front teeth.

The investigation is ongoing.
