Man shot to death in West Philadelphia as suspects run from scene: police

PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating after a man was gunned down in West Philadelphia early Monday morning.

He was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head on the 5000 block of Westminster Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

The victim, identified as 56-year-old Lamart Adams, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear what led to the deadly shooting, but police say at least two men were seen running from the scene.

No descriptions have been released at this time.
