MLB: Bryce Harper jersey tops most popular in baseball

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - On the Phillies 2019 opening day, Bryce Harper's jersey is MLB's most popular jersey.

According to Major League Baseball, Harper's jersey is the most popular player jersey in baseball. This marks the first time, MLB says, a Philadelphia Phillies player has been atop the list.

Harper's jersey also set professional sports records for the most jerseys sold in the first 24 and 48 hours of joining a team, according to Fanatics.

The list follows and is based on MLBShop.com sales of Majestic jerseys since January 1, 2019.
