Mom celebrates baby daughter's journey from near death to perfect health
(STORYFUL) - Leigha Kurz-Garrison in Cincinnati, Ohio, posted images to Imgur that shared her daughter Evelyn's journey after she almost died as a newborn.
The little girl was born with a heart defect that was discovered at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Kurz-Garrison shared a photo of her daughter with dozens of wires attached to her when she was only a week old. At a recent appointment with a cardiologist, Kurz-Garrison was told her now two-year-old daughter no longer had a heart murmur and that "Your daughter's heart is 100%."
The mother said, "I literally exploded with tears. I cried so hard my daughter got worried, climbed into my lap and gave me a hug 'Mommy, [don't] be sad. I okay." [sic]
According to the post, Evelyn's favorite things to do are dancing to music and snuggling with her mom.
