NJ man who prostituted teen pleads guilty to human trafficking

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- A New Jersey man accused of holding a 17-year-old runaway against her will and forcing her into prostituton has pleaded guilty to human trafficking.

Middlesex County prosecutors say Breion Turner faces an eight-year state prison term when he's sentenced April 27. The 28-year-old Trenton man entered his plea Monday and it was made public Tuesday.

Turner was arrested in October 2016. Prosecutors say he had threatened to kill the girl if she tried to flee, and the teen claimed Turner gave her a cough syrup-like liquid that made her groggy.

Authorities have said Turner held the girl at his Trenton home for four days and forced her to engage in sexual acts with several men, collecting about $400.
