North Penn Graduate Arrested for Allegedly Sharing Sexually Explicit Images

Lansdale, Pa. (WTXF)-Authorities announced the arrest of a North Penn graduate for allegedly sharing sexually explicit images of current and former students of the school.

According to authorities, back in March a juvenile female reported to police that she uncovered a website containing numerous sexually explicit images of females, many whom were under the age of 18. Authorities say the females were either current or former students of North Penn High School.

Investigators say they learned that the website containing the images were associated with Dropbox.com, which is an internet website that allows users to create an account and remotely store and share a variety of digital files.

After their investigation, authorities arrested Brandon T Berlin, 18, of Montgomery County. At the time of the incident he was senior student at the North Penn High School. Berlin has since graduated from North Penn High School. Links that were connected to the Dropbox account were allegedly created by Berlin. Officials say the links were then disseminated for others to view the photographs. According to investigators, they identified other individuals that allegedly received some of the images prior to Berlin; however, they say it was allegedly Berlin that took the extraordinary step of compiling the photos he collected from various sources on his Dropbox account.

According to authorities, Berlin admitted to creating a Dropbox account, gathering the sexually explicit photos and disseminating links to the Dropbox account.

Berlin engaged in the alleged conduct as a juvenile. According to authorities, Berlin will be tried as an adult.
