Nurse makes Russell Westbrook costume for premature baby
(STORYFUL) - The parents of a premature baby, who was born at 23 weeks, are hoping their son will soon be paid a visit by basketball player Russell Westbrook.
Noah is undergoing intense treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at a local hospital, and he was dressed up by an NICU nurse in Westbrook's famous number 0 shirt for Halloween, instantly becoming a miniature-sized version of Oklahoma City Thunder star.
Westbrook happens to be the favorite player of both Noah's doctor's and his dad, and his mother, Stacey Tolsma, shared an image of him in the sweet costume on October 29. She wrote that she was glad the nurse included Noah in the "NICU Halloween board" (which sees nurses making costumes for the children) because, "that just told me this nurse, who has worked in the NICU for decades, believes in Noah too."
Tolsma hopes that the post of Noah dressed like Westbrook -- who also has a son called Noah -- might prompt the star to come and visit the baby in hospital.
