Officials lift boil water advisory in Horsham
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - The boil water advisory issued for Horsham has been lifted.
The Horsham Water and Sewer Authority wants the public to know that there was no confirmed contamination of the public water.
HWSA suggests customers run faucets for approximately one minute.
The disinfection system for a well in Horsham Township stopped working Thursday.
"We have a piece of equipment that injects chlorine into the water that disinfects it before it enters the system. That equipment malfunctioned," Tina O'Rourke with the Water and Sewer Authority said.
Officials said the issue has been resolved, but advised people to boil their water until they received bacteriological test results. The test results came back clear.
