Once homeless Army veteran now a small business success in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY - A story of survival and resilience...

A once homeless army veteran is now a thriving entrepreneur in Kentucky.

Raeshanda Johnson of Louisville says hitting rock bottom helped her achieve success.

A few years ago, the mother of four found herself living out of hotel rooms and selling her belongings to make ends meet.

To make extra money she started her own business online via a Facebook page -- where she gave women style tips and ideas.

That soon led to a personal consultation business and a few years later Johnson found herself opening up her own boutique.

"I went from having nothing to a 6 figure income in ten months."

Her business has grown so rapidly, she now styles women by appointment only.

"All the coats and the faux fur and the wraps, the gorgeous hats and just getting cozy. It's that time of year where you get to be stylish and still keep warm."

This year, her hard work led to the launch of a fashion show at the mall St. Matthews in Louisville.

Johnson says she never imagined she would ever come this far.

"It's just been crazy. I'm super excited."
