One juvenile charged in connection to a fatal shooting in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., police say

A shooting in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey has resulted in the death of one teenager and the arrest of another teenager in connection to the shooting.

Egg Harbor Township Police received a call just before 6:30 p.m. January 26 of a shooting on Woodrow Avenue. Upon arrival, police say they found a male juvenile dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

An autopsy was performed Saturday, investigators say. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head.

A 17-year-old male was charged with aggravated manslaughter, among other charges, in connection to the fatal shooting, authorities stated. The teen is being held in a juvenile detention facility.
