Passenger injured after SEPTA bus crashes into North Philadelphia home
PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Authorities say a commuter bus jackknifed and crashed into a North Philadelphia home, leaving a bus passenger injured.
The crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. Monday on North 21st and Diamond streets.
Authorities say two passengers were on the SEPTA's bus when the driver lost control and crashed into the home. A female passenger suffered a leg injury and was hospitalized in stable condition, but her name has not been released.
None of the five people in the home -- two adults and three children -- were injured. But the family had to leave their home after authorities determined that the crash left the structure unsafe.
Authorities say light snow was falling at the time, creating slick travel conditions that may have contributed to the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
