Philadelphia federal judge blocks Trump Administration's new contraceptive rules

The state of Pennsylvania has taken on the Trump Administration over birth control and secured a temporary victory.

A federal judge in Philadelphia temporarily blocked the Trump Administration's new rules allowing employers and universities to opt out of covering contraceptives for their employees.

In October, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro filed a lawsuit against the administration saying it was breaking the law and undermining the health of American women.

The judge agreed Friday, December 15 and granted Shapiro's motion for an injunction while the trial continues.
