Philadelphia weather: When will temperatures reach above freezing?
PHILADELPHIA - Bone chilling temperatures continue to deep freeze the Philadelphia area and preserve the fallen snow from earlier this week.
Another sunny day is ahead Thursday, with Wednesday overnight lows expected to return to the single digits.
The cold snap will begin to lessen on Thursday when temperatures will just about reach to freezing, and head into the 40s by Sunday.
What we know:
Thursday will be sunny, with slightly warmer temperatures that will creep toward 30 degrees.
Temperatures will just surpass the freezing point on Friday and Saturday, and by Sunday temps will rise into the 40s for the NFC Championship game at The Linc.
What's next:
The Eagles and Washington Commanders will square off at Lincoln Financial Field for the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
Weather conditions for the 3 p.m. kickoff will be much different than they were a week ago, when the Eagles outlasted the Rams in the freezing snow.
Temperatures for gametime will be in the 40s with plenty of sunshine as the Eagles try to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.
