Photo captures veteran and service dog at work

A veteran and his faithful companion are warming hearts all over after a woman snapped a photo of the two at a Lowes in Texas over the weekend.

According to KTXS, the veteran pictured is Clay Luthy who was joined the Air Force in January 2002 because of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. KTXS reports he was a C-130 loadmaster.

Unfortunately, his military career was cut short after an injury in both knees. Clay worked as a handyman until doctors rebuilt his left knee. That's when Clay couldn't kneel anymore so he had to find a new job so his wife said he should apply at Lowe's since he's always there.

Clay and his service dog, Charlotte, went to the interview and they both got the job. The woman, Judy Dechert Rose, who shared the photo on Facebook wrote the following caption: "I love Abilene Lowes, way to go! This is a disabled vet who struggled to get a job because he needs his service dog! Lowes hired them BOTH!!"

As of this writing, the photo has been shared almost 100,000 times.
