Police: 2 teens involved in fatal dirt bike accident in Bensalem

Police say that one teen is dead and another is hospitalized after a dirt bike collided with a SUV in Bensalem on Saturday afternoon.

According to authorities, the driver of the dirt bike was a 16-year-old. The passenger has been identified as 18-year-old Raymond Horner.

A preliminary investigation concluded that they teens were driving down Virginia Avenue at high speeds when they blew through a stop sign and crashed into a GMC Acadia traveling south on Tyler Avenue.

The teens, who were not wearing helmets, were thrown from the dirt bike on impact, per reports.

Paramedics transported both teens to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

Horner was pronounced dead upon arrival. The 16-year-old remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Acadia cooperated with police investigation and was treated for minor injuries.
