Police: Camden man arrested for sexually assaulting 8-year-old

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (WTXF) - New Jersey State Police have arrested a suspect they say sexually assaulted an 8-year-old.

Police say 40-year-old Yasir Thomas was charged on Oct. 9 for first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a minor and related offenses.

State Police detectives were contacted by West Deptford Police to assist with locating Thomas.

On Oct. 23, officials located Thomas at a store in Camden and arrested him without incident.

Thomas was processed and charged at the West Deptford Police Department.
