Police discover 48 cremated human remains at abandoned North Philadelphia funeral home

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say 48 cremated human remains were discovered at an abandoned funeral home in North Philadelphia Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the 2000 block of North Broad Street around 3 p.m. 

The ashes were reportedly found with their corresponding death certificates in a closet on the first floor of the defunct funeral home.

Police are currently investigating this incident.
