Police ID 62-year-old woman who died in overnight Mantua shooting
PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTXF) - Police have identified the 62-year-old woman who died in an overnight shooting in Mantua as Elizabeth Lewis. This investigation is ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
Early Sunday morning, around 3 a.m., police responded to the sound of gunshots in the area of 40 th and Aspen Streets.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her chest, shoulder, right flank and arm.
The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital and admitted in critical condition. She was pronounced dead at 3:15 a.m.
Authorities recovered six .9 millimeter shell casings and a small amount of blood from the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time.
