Police investigate after 3 people stabbed at Ridley Township home

Police are investigating after three people were stabbed at a Ridley Township home Thursday morning.

The call to police of "multiple stabbing victims" quickly drew officers to Ridley Township's Willard Drive where Jerry Noel got a frantic knock on the door at 10 a.m.

"I heard somebody banging on the door and I opened it to see it was the next-door neighbor Sue and she was hysterical and said call the police. Frank stabbed Art," neighbor Jerry Noel said.

According to neighbors and land records, Art is 70-year-old Arthur Lavique who is the husband of 69-year-old Sue Benditt. Frank is Sue's son.

"I saw the husband, Art, come outside. He was banged up it looked like. Then, the wife came out and her arm looked patched up a bit," neighbor Madison Venit said.

Police say there were three people stabbed who were all taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for injuries they would survive.

Early Thursday afternoon and the couple returned home with the help of relatives--unhappy to see a camera waiting.

Police tell FOX 29 detectives met the "three" at Crozer where they were trying to pinpoint the attacker.

A police source saying a witness saw a knife in Frank Benditt's hand.

Art Lavique spoke briefly about his stepson.

"He's still in there. Can't say anything because it's an ongoing investigation," he said.

The injured couple was forced to retreat to a neighbor's house while a key was found to unlock their house.
