Police investigate shooting and car accident in Strawberry Mansion

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WTXF) - Police in Strawberry Mansion are investigating an auto accident and a shooting and attempting to resolve how the two might be connected.

Police responded to the 2200 block of North 29th Street Thursday, just after 7:30 p.m. on the report of a car accident with injuries.

Police arrived to find a 42-year-old man lying in the street with gunshot wounds to the chest, neck and back. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital and listed in critical condition.

Police are investigating how the shooting and the accident happened and how or if the two incidents might be connected.
