Police investigating after man shot and killed in East Germantown

EAST GERMANTOWN (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in East Germantown overnight.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5700 block of North Beechwood Street, where a man was found suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest on the sidewalk.

The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Shell casings were recovered from the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
