Police Looking to Identify Woman Wanted for Alleged Purse Theft
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Jaw-dropping moments were caught on surveillance camera as a woman allegedly snatches a purse inside a local business. On the video, you can the woman has a child with her. The victim says inside her purse was something irreplaceable.
FOX 29's Bruce Gordon spoke to the victim and shocked parents.
Police say on Sunday, October 4th around 11:40 a.m., the female suspect in the company of a juvenile female entered the Kassie World Furniture warehouse located at 3804 Castor Avenue in Juniata Park.
According to police, once inside the suspect and juvenile proceeded to the rear of the warehouse where the office area is located. The suspect concealed the victim's purse inside a large black purse then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction, police say.
"I work very hard and 7 days a week," the victim named Sheila told FOX 29.
The victim says she feel bad for the little girl. Sheila says inside her purse was a red envelope full of money, a Chinese good luck charm, which was never to be spent.
Police describe the suspect as a black female, medium complected. She was last seen wearing a multicolored scarf on her head, pink jacket and blue jeans.
