Police: Man, 25, fatally stabbed in West Philadelphia; suspect arrested

Police are investigating after a 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed in West Philadelphia on Sunday.

Around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 6200 block of Lansdowne Avenue, where they found the victim on the highway in front of the Felton Mini Market.

The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators say the man's homicide was the "direct result of an argument."

A 28-year-old man, who police say walked into the hospital with cuts on his hands shortly after the incident, was arrested in connection with the stabbing death.

Police have yet to identify the suspect.

This is an ongoing investigation.
