Police: Man, 25, shot in attempted robbery in Northeast Philly

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after they say a 25-year-old man was shot in an attempted robbery in Castor.

The victim was allegedly walking on the 6900 block of Large Street Sunday night when a gunman tried to rob him.

Police say the suspect shot the victim in the torso as he ran away.

The victim, who also suffered a graze wound to his head, was able to run to a nearby Wawa for help. He is now in stable condition.

Authorities are continuing their search for the alleged gunman.
