Police: Man, 26, arrested after shooting mother in South Philadelphia
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Police are investigating after a 26-year-old man allegedly shot his mother in South Philadelphia overnight.
According to police, the suspect's mother was in a fight with her boyfriend on the 500 block of Fernon Street when her son came in and joined the argument.
During the incident, the suspect wound up shooting his mother in the shoulder. The 43-year-old woman was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The son was placed under arrest, and a gun was recovered from the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation.
