Police: Man wanted for setting fire to convertible in Bensalem
BENSALEM, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in Bensalem are looking to identify and locate a man they say set fire to a car last week.
The incident occurred back on Wednesday, September 20 on the 2200 block of State Road.
Surveillance video from the incident appears to show the man making several attempts to set fire to the car. First the suspect tries to break a window to pour accelerant inside, when he then attempts to stuff a rag in the gas tank.
Both attempts were unsuccessful, and the suspect instead poured gasoline on the convertible top, lit a flare, and set fire to the car.
The suspect, who police described as a white male, fled on foot wearing an Adidas hat, protective goggles, and a bandana on his face. The suspect was also wearing sneakers with a distinct pattern on them, according to police.
