Police release video of March homicide in search for suspect

NICETOWN (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police have released new video of a Nicetown homicide that occurred back in March, in hopes of identifying the suspect.

Back on March 19, two men were walking on the 1900 block of Roberts Avenue towards Green Street when a masked suspect came around the corner holding a handgun.

Surveillance video captured the moment the masked gunman opened fire on one of the men, striking him several times.

The victim was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Police say the suspect fled north on Green Street in a silver mini-van.

Police have described the suspect as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, standing 5'4" to 5'6", with a thin build.
