Police search for 7-Eleven robbery suspect in University City
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police have released a surveillance video of a man they say robbed a 7-Eleven in University City.
The incident happened on Monday, September 11 at 1:26 am. when police say an unknown male entered a 7-Eleven located at 3400 Market Street.
Police have now released a surveillance video which shows the man simulating that he was armed with a handgun by placing his hand inside his sweatshirt pocket while demanding money and cigarettes from the cashier. After taking an unknown amount of money along with several packs of cigarettes, police say the suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen north on 34th Street.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, 25 years old, 5'7"-5'9", thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black mask covering the lower part of his face, and black jeans.
